I’ve been using Skiddle quite a bit lately and it’s been surprisingly good at suggesting events I’m actually interested in. I’m not stuck scrolling through loads of unnecessary random listings, which is a nice change. Most of the gigs and nights it shows are things I’d genuinely consider going to, so sorting weekend plans feels a lot easier.

I used Skiddle to buy tickets and, to be fair, most of the process was okay. The main thing that bothered me was the waiting queue. I got on early, then saw other people saying they joined later and got through before me, which is frustrating when tickets are disappearing quickly.
Maybe I just had a bad experience this time, but it does make me feel like the queue system in general is a bit hit and miss. The site didn’t crash and checkout was smooth once I finally got in, so it’s not terrible, but I’d like it to feel a bit clearer or fairer. 3 stars.

Booked my tickets on Skiddle i spotted the age restriction right away before paying. I was like, oh good, no guessing or having to message someone to check. It was all straightforward, and there were no problems at the door either.

They don’t flood my inbox, and most of the events they send over are things I’d probably be interested in and close enough to me. The reminders before events are a nice touch too, especially for keeping track of tickets going on sale. Overall, it’s been a good experience.

I got my tickets emailed to me quickly, maybe within about 10 minutes or so, and they scanned fine at the door with no hassle. The only reason I’m taking off a star is because the app took a bit to load, like 20 or 30 seconds at times. Other than that, everything went smoothly.
